Can Harry Outscore Ronaldo?

When it comes to international football tournaments, there is always the anticipated hype regarding which player will score the most goals.

With Euro 2020 rapidly approaching, it comes as no surprise that the football experts and pundits are already making their predictions.

Make no mistake, there will be plenty of stars playing at this summer’s European Championship.

But right now, it appears that everyone is focused on Harry Kane of England and Cristiano Ronaldo or Portugal.

This is very interesting and exciting because it is always fun to keep track of the best goal scorers in a major tournament.

But when looking at the groups of Euro 2020, I think it is safe to say that Harry Kane currently holds the advantage based on the level of competition.

For starters, England is in the same group with Croatia, Czech Republic, and the winner of Playoff Path C.

Portugal on the other hand is currently grouped with France, Germany, and the winner of Playoff Path A or D.

From my point of view, I feel that it will be difficult for Ronaldo to score a lot of goals against France and Germany.

Harry Kane on the other hand gets to play against a weak Czech squad that he already scored two goals against during qualifying.

Croatia obviously won’t be easy, but the winner from Playoff Path C will not be a dangerous opposition.

Going back to Ronaldo, I feel that the Portuguese super star will be able to score a lot of goals if the winner from Path D fills the empty spot in the group.

But aside from the level of competition for Kane and Ronaldo, it is important to realize that Harry Kane will have the biggest advantage of all in getting to play at Wembley in all three group phase matches.

Two of Portugal’s matches will be played in Budapest and it will be difficult to see Ronaldo scoring against Germany in Munich.
